I wasn’t sure what I would see when I peeked in on Terry. I had used my key to come in and check on my best friend when I hadn’t heard from him in a week. I was worried that he would do something harmful to himself after the lab leak somehow changed him into a woman a couple months ago. He was depressed, but it seemed like he was accepting himself a lot more lately. He had changed the spelling of his name to Teri and had been wearing more feminine clothes. The last time I talked to him a week ago, he had gone on about how great he was getting along with one of his coworkers. As I quietly opened the door to his bedroom, I could hear soft moans. I was shocked to see Teri, with a cute smile on her face, and a guy lovingly thrusting into her. I was close enough to hear her whispering “I love you” to the guy. I slowly backed away from the door, happy that my friend had accepted who she now was.
